Anybody know why some programmers give their sub folders and folders the same name?

http://drupal.org

every time I see a module that has directories and sub directories with the same name, I think to myself:

"wow. either someone is just not very creative or they are trying to make installation a major challenge."

I've seen this phenomenon in at least two modules now. I've seen it it ckeditor. What cracks me up is that the author's instructions make it sound like the user is an idiot for not putting the directories in the correct place.

"Download standalone CKEditor from http://ckeditor.com/download. Unzip the contents of the "ckeditor" directory from the installation package to the "sites/all/modules/ckeditor/ckeditor" or "sites/all/libraries/ckeditor" directory."

I mean would it really have killed the author to have name one of the directories "Sam" or Mike" or "Jason" or "anything other than the same name as another directory"? sheesh.

I bet 80% of installation problems arise from directories and sub directories having the same name.

anyway, just an observation.
