This is a promising young module - the best I've found yet. With the expected views integration it should really rock.

Read more »This is great! You can re-position fields on the edit form any way you like.
One complaint is that the vertical tab box at the bottom of edit forms can only be given one position that is shared across all horizontal tabs for a content type. This means I had to have about the same number of fields on all my tabs or the spacing was messed up.

There was no link within the Drupal admin menu to configure this module, and the instructions included in the Readme file were incorrect.
I found a forum entry drupal.org which enabled me to manually type in the configuration page address and add a jQuery id for the block I wanted to float. The effect worked in Firefox, but the block completely disappeared in Chrome. I tried the id for the whole sidebar region instead, which made the block appear in both browsers, but made it jump around and blink erratically as I scrolled.

Read more »This module is really useful if you need to make your node forms more user friendly and intuitive.
E.g.:
You have a page and a news node type.
Your users must be able to add pages to the menu, so they see the Menu settings fieldset.
However, news nodes should never appear in the menu. But your users still see the Menu settings fieldset. Confusing and error-prone.
Thanks to this module, you can hide it, just for the news node type.
Read more »Needed to export/import a single content type to a new site, and some Views (handled separately). Like the D6 Content Copy module. Much simpler than using a Feature that would hang around forever. A lot of my current work involves assembling new sites from parts of existing ones, like a Chinese special: one from column A and two from Column B.
The only caveat is that it did not add existing fields with the same machine name to the new content type, nor did it give an error; I had to find them and add them manually. Otherwise, a big time saver.
