default front page wrongly cached

http://drupal.org

Hi,

On our site, Default front page is set to http://mysite.com/home in site information, while http://mysite.com/home is a URL alias for http://mysite.com/node/5. Cache is enabled.

A few days ago, the front page (http://mysite.com/) failed to be rendered properly:
1. Theme was totally missing. All images and styles were gone.
2. Search form and login form showed up, which should not be there.
3. Content in node 5 was also displayed, but with author and time created.

4. Other pages including http://mysite.com/home were alright.

So the front page was not cached properly. After cached data had been cleared, the front page finally recovered.

I still can't figure out cause of this problem. Appreciation for any suggestion as we need to prevent this from happening again.
