Hello guys,
I have read pretty much everything there is to read on installing Drupal 7 and still I am having trouble with the install.
The version of PHP is : 5.2.13
MYSQL Version is: 5.0
During the install process at "Set up database" I enter in my settings just like they are on 1and1 and I get this message in orange:
In order for Drupal to work, and to continue with the installation process, you must resolve all issues reported below. For more help with configuring your database server, see the installation handbook. If you are unsure what any of this means you should probably contact your hosting provider.
Failed to connect to your MySQL database server. MySQL reports the following message: SQLSTATE[00000] [1045] Access denied for user: 'USERNAME@localhost' (Using password: YES).
* Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
* Are you sure that you have typed the correct database hostname?
* Are you sure that the database server is running?
For more help, see the installation handbook. If you are unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your hosting provider.
I don't know what else I can do. When I select to use a SQLite install everything is just fine. just an FYI this is my DB host: localhost:/tmp/mysql5.sock
Any help would do!
