Just committed to the dev release of Fusion (D6 & D7), a Fusion Starter Lite subtheme.
Fusion packs in a lot of power, but you might not need all the regions, starter CSS, or want all of Fusion Core’s Skinr styles inherited automatically. It also simplifies the markup, removing the wrapper divs on rows, which are handy for styling full width backgrounds, but unnecessary if you don’t need this feature.
I created a comparison table of the two Fusion Starter themes, with more information on the differences between the two.
If you’ve resisted Fusion because of the heavy markup, now is the time to take it for another spin ;)
