Site prebuilder (http://www.siteprebuilder.com) is up and running in beta. It provides a range of lightweight Drupal distributions - blogs, forums, ecommerce and so on - to help beginners get the most out of Drupal without facing a steep learning curve.
The aim is provide a way for complete novices to get a working website with as little fuss as possible. The idea being that people who already have a working website are more likely to stay with their Drupal based site as opposed to going to an online blog publishing tool and settling for something less powerful and dynamic because it is initially easier.
The site also provides a number of services (which will include a free collection of audiovisual presentations on how to work with Drupal) and we're hoping that the Drupal community will provide the expertise and knowledge (paid, of course) to help mentor and nurture newbies.
