Ckeditor says file browser disabled for security reasons. I'm using ckfinder. Can't upload anything how do I fix this?

Ckeditor says file browser disabled for security reasons. I'm using ckfinder. Can't upload anything how do I fix this? I tried pretty much everything. Removed the $cookie comment from settings.php and followed all the drupal.ckeditor.com installation directions for ckfinder.

Hi,

I installed CKEditor and would like to use CKFidner as a file browser. I installed both and now I got a permission issue. When I click the browse button I get this message in the pop up window:"The file browser is disabled for security reasons. Please contact your system administrator and check the CKFinder configuration file".
I have one permission field for CKFinder in my permissions list:"CKFinder access" which is enabled for the administrator (who i am). Why does it not let me access the files?

Hello everyone,
I'm having difficulties with CKFinder module.
After proper installation I tried to upload an image but this was the result:
"The file browser is disabled for security reasons. Please contact your system administrator and check the CKFinder configuration file."
I have chcecked my conf.php several times with all manuals, All folders has 0777 permisions..
I'm really struggling this time...
Can you suggest me any solutions? Thanks in advance..

Hi All,

New to Drupal and have been trying to get ckeditor and ckfinder working on my installation. I've read all the documentation and watched countless vids on how the installation is meant to be done.

I've loaded up the ckeditor module installed ckeditor 4.02 into /sites/all/modules/ckeditor/ckeditor and ckfinder 2.3.1 to /sites/all/modules/ckeditor/ckfinder. Have update the settings.php (cookies) file and the ckfinder config.php file. Set permissions and configured the ckeditor to use ckfinder as the file browser.

I don't get CKFinder to upload my pics!!! :( 35 weeks 3 days ago

I did even enable it for anonymous but it still wouldn't let me: "The file browser is disabled for security reasons. Please contact your system administrator and check the CKFinder configuration file" - I also changed cookie_domain and base_url in the settings file... :( What else am I forgetting?

I hope this is true but it finally worked for me after many hours spent installing and reinstalling CKeditor and CKfinder on both Drupal 6 and 7 on more than one site! (yes I am dense)

*** What I FINALLY discovered is that you can not browse images unless "text format" is set to FULL HTML. ***
