Diggit Drupalextras

I added the calendar module and all is well, it works nicely and the upcoming events is showing up for new events I add as well as my little calendar block on right navigation.

but now when I add a story or a page, it adds these to the calendar, and they show up in the upcoming events as well for the day added. How can I disable this and have only the events go on the calendar.

I see some reference to
Show in Event Calendar: Never option, but I don't seem to have this.
I am using drupal 6.13
