In Drupal 6, AHAH powered forms are made easy. Easy in a sense that it is built in using the #ahah property. With the AHAH powered forms, it allows you to manipulate form elements on the fly without using a single line of Javascript code. However, as easy at it sounds, it is really time consuming and painful to use since you have to write callbacks for each AHAH enabled form element. Think about maintaining that code! Don't worry, AHAH Helper is here to alleviate the pain. Basically, this module simplifies the use of #ahah property.

It seems that ahah functionality isn't working at all in my drupal site. I have tried the simplest examples of ahah forms, and doesn't work. I tried ahah helper module, and there's a simple demo there - doesn't work. when I submit the form it reloads the page, without submitting the form. nothing happens. I have no idea where to start.

I hope someone from you can help me a little bit.

I have a multistep form with AHAH enhanced elements (with AHAH Helper). All runs fine.

Now I have to insert a new form element (a select) with AHAH. This is no problem, I render the new form element with drupal_render in the form definition directly in the output of the wrapper-div and build the form element before.

This new element have AHAH functionality too and THIS doesn't function. There is no reaction when I click in the select.

I notice that all my AHAH forms (in the admin) don't work all of a sudden after I updated Drupal to 6.24 and got the new jQuery update. When I had a fresh install before I started building this site, everything was working nicely. Now, after develing and adding modules, all AHAH forms in the admin decided to screw up.

Now that I'm building a form with FAPI and want it to interact with AHAH via AHAH_helper, what happens is that the AHAH hands mid-validation. I can see that the POST is being sent, but after that nothing happens.

This module does exactly what I wanted. I was thinking about writing such a module awhile back and so glad I didn't have to! Excellent work.

I've been searching and searching for almost 20 hours now without any result...

I have a website containing a Ctools form wizard with 3 steps. In one of the steps I need to replace 2 fields (language + extra field, in separate fieldsets), based on an AHAH enabled country-dropdown.

i'm trying to get ahah running in the form for my custom ctools content type, which is shown at configure pane.
My goal is to provide a form with textfields and a "add textfield"-button, so the user is able to add new textfields.
After getting no results so far i began wondering, if maybe the modal dialog is not compatible with ahah?

Now I want to spice up a few parts with AHAH. I tried to code everything myself following an ahah-example but then discovered the ahah-helper-module (http://drupal.org/project/ahah_helper) which sounded and looked really great. Less work more fun ... yay.

And here's the problem. The module expects that the function that builds the form elements just has one argument. As in the example.

I'm trying to work out a form using AHAH to chain select items. So far every thing seems to work well when javascript is enabled (obviously) but I can't seem to get things to work when javascript is disabled.

Every time I submit the form normally, I lose the ability to access $form_submit. The values from $_POST populate the correct fields but I can't do anything with them. As soon as I remove the AHAH stuff, everything works once more (and I can debug and view the content of $form_state in my form() function as usual.
