URGENT: Drupal Job - Looking for experienced Drupal/PHP coder (views integration experience preferred)

Looking for a Drupal/PHP coder, preferably with views integration, taxonomy and search experience, for an urgent job where another developer has let us down.

The job is a directory site with proximity filtering provided by a custom geo-spatially aware module (already built) which is essentially the 'location' module stripped down and made to save a mysql POINT(x,y) (based on the latitude and longitude of the 'location') in a 'geometry' column. The initial idea was to do the proximity searching without using views since there's currently no views integration for the mysql spatial proximity filter functions, but that scared our developer off so that's why we've asked for someone with experience in that area.

If you'd like to bid just for the job of integrating the custom location module with views, that's a possibility, so please contact me.

Other important aspects of the site are taxonomy (hierarchial) and search (flexible).

To be clear, we're not looking for a module installer. This will definitely require some custom work. I'd like to see SEVERAL examples of Drupal and Non-Drupal work, meaning ACTUAL code.

Please don't apply if you're planning on outsourcing it or would otherwise not be responsible directly for the code that is produced.

I've been trying to setup a view that allows the user to filter nodes based on a distance from their inputted location as a uk postcode.

Using location, I can get the postcode and distance exposed so that they can enter it, but it never displays any results.

I am running a 6.x drupal site with Views 2 and the Location module, and I have installed the smart IP suite to determine the location of my visitors.

As it currently stands, if I put this code into a template:

I get a zip code in return that is pretty close to what I need.

I've been trying to get proximity filtering in views to work, using the location proximity filter and loading all known Norwegian Postal codes into the zipcodes table, but alas, no success.
Browsing the issue queue of the Location module, it seems that it is not developed very actively any more.
I then went of to research alternatives, and I got lost in the jungle of new and shiny Geo-stuff.
So;
Is there currently any way to implement proximity search in views (preferable using som geocoding service, or at least the zipcodes table..)

I using the Location module and Views, and I am able to successfully filter results based on proximity filters within Views.

Now I want to plot those results on a google map. I saw the GMap module, but either I don't understand it correctly, or GMap only shows a static representation of all location based nodes on a single map. Or, in other words, it doesn't filter these dynamically based on my search results.

All of the following is relevant to D7.7:
I created a custom Content Type for nodes & imported the data from a CSV using the Feeds mod. During the import process, I had to declare my Feeds node processor's mappings & used the available Location module's fields for the address data [eg: location module: locations.City, location module: locations.Postal Code etc]. This all worked fine but when inspect the Content Type itself, these fields are not shown within the Fields list.

Hello. I am developing a site that is using the location module to store locations. I would like the pages to be built by views and proximity search depending on postal code, but can not think of a way to do this without making people sign up and log in. I would like Anonymous users to be able to enter their zip, and have the views be built by this. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Any modules that would help with this? Thank you!
