On my new site, users do not receive a confirmation email after registration. I know this because I tested with multiple personal emails. What could be wrong? Even when I manually create a user and choose to notify the user, no email is sent out. The email system just doesn't seem to be working.

I've created an email account and have assigned it as the site email. It is the email from which registration confirmation emails are sent. I have been noticing it takes about 20 minutes from registration until the user gets the confirmation email.

Is it normal for it to take this long? I'd like to get confirmation emails out in under 5 minutes. How can I configure this?

Does confirmation email turn around time depend on the cron timing? I have mine set to hourly cron runs.

My user registration worlkflow is a bit strange.

In the email validation step of registration I want to take the user to a page where they can change their username and password.

How would you do this?

Hi, what I'm trying to do I'm hoping is pretty simply with some inclusion of php code (fingers crossed). I have a web registration page already set up and functional. What I want to add at the bottom before completing registration is this:

A checkbox that the user clicks that says "Send me an email reminder to [email@email.com] 3 days before trial ends"

It would be excellent if it could insert the users actual email address that was recorded in an earlier registration step.

Any ideas?

When users register the user admin gets a VERY brief email saying that "A NEW USER ACCOUNT has been created for [username" and the body contain only three links.

Where can I edit this letter either using PHP or a screen, so that the email shows the user registration data?

This is not one of the editable letters in User Settings.

After hours of searching, I've found out how to customize a confirmation email sent to the user upon submission of the form.
How do I go about creating an authentication link on the confirmation email so that the user, upon receiving the confirmation mail, can click that link to 'authenticate' that he/she is the true owner of the email and has received that email address?

It is something like a forum registration which sends an email with the details along with a link to 'activate' the account.

When a new user tries to register for our website, they are supposed to receive an email with an activation code to activate their account. I tested this out many times and it worked great. Recently I noticed it stopped working. Now, when a user signs up for our site they get an error message after hitting the submit button:

"Unable to send e-mail. Please contact the site administrator if the problem persists.
Access denied. You may need to login below or register to access this page."

For user registration we have a functionality to verify the user email. for this the requirement is we need to provide a text box to user. We will send a link to that email which directs the user to a new page that contains some personal information which is mandatory. Upon filling the details the user account will be created.
