I just upgraded to a VPS on host gator and set my php memory limit to 550, I see in the sites CPanel as well as in WHM that the limit is correct however in Drupal the limit still shows at 64 MB. I restarted Apache, restarted the server, set the limit in the .htaccess file as well as in settings according to the guide on this site. Im not using caching and cron runs every hour.

Are there any other methods to try and set drupals memory limit without reinstalling?

any help is greatly appreciated in advance

After a week of complete frustration, I finally got Drupal to work on VPS. I have to run suphp which wonderfully slows it down but it works. I don't mind a little slower as long as there are no more 503 errors.

Me and my team are implementing the new website for our company. The problem we have now is that even caching and using eaccelerator the memory consuption for the apache service is very high.

I would like to know if arround 120mb of ram in every apache running process is normal. We have a lot of modules activated and also our own code. I've tried to tune the apache server and restrict the number of users but with this amount of memory I can not serve very many users and I will have 500 users currently connected.

I know this topic has been beaten to death, and I have read every posting on this, both on this site and any other forum with this topic I could find. However my PHP memory limit remains at 32M and I keep on getting out of memory errors. This is what I have done so far.

I have spoken to my host and asked for a memory increase, the host placed a php.ini file in my html_public directory with the following:

memory_limit = 128M

This has not worked so I have tried the following, both with 128M as my host claims I have, and 96M settings:

I am running Drupal 6.13 and have not made any module updates or changes in the past few day and everything worked normally at the end of last week but today when I logged in as admin and tried to update some modules I got the following error message:

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 65273856) (tried to allocate 63 bytes) in /home/garp/public_html/sites/all/modules/views/includes/view.inc on line 1490.

I have developed a website using drupal 6 and it is working fine and as expected. I also used the Clean Url facility there. and it also worked well. But when transfred the site to our dedicated server the clean url stop working. The server people says that the mod_rewrite is enabled but it still not worked. But then he say that we have suPHP on server so that may bea issue.

Please tell me if this is a issue and yes then how can i resolve this.

Please help me its very Urgent!!!!

I have been getting consistent "Out of memory" errors that I need help diagnosing.

My site is hosted on Media Temple (gs)

Drupal version 6.20
PHP Version 5.2.14
Drush version 4.2
PHP Memory Limit 99M -- according to phpinfo()

The errors I have been getting, specifically:

I'm running my Drupal installation on a midphase VPS and I keep getting slmmemorylimit errors and warnings in my server resource logs. I would ignore them since they don't affect normal operations except some users are complaining that there are 'server gone away' errors if they try to make multiple posts in succession in my news section.

I have a 1gig memory limit and it says I'm using 189mb of that, so is this a php memory limit issue or is the server not allocating enough resources or something? I'm not positive but I think I have my php memory set at about 100meg....

Recently i've been getting this error message, particularly when dealing with views. Now i have read other threads on this and i know it's because of the php memory limit. However, on my host's server it has 128M php memory limit, but when i go to drupal status report it says 32M php memory limit.

How do i make drupal see that there's a 128M php memory limit and not 32M?
