Hello there,

I'm using a zen based sub-theme. I've basically copied my page.tpl.php file and renamed it to maintenance-page.tpl. I have a CSS file defined within this page called maintenance.css, this has been declared within my .info file. The maintenance page itself is now using my theme but doesn't seem to be finding the CSS file and implementing any layout changes. I've cleared the cache and still no luck. What file does Zen use by default to control the CSS of a maintenance page?

I've searched the forums re this but am not finding an answer … I have a question about upgrading. I'm doing the upgrade to 7.12. I am following the instructions in upgrade.txt. I put the site in maintenance mode and follow the instructions to "Remove all old core files and directories, except for the 'sites' directory and any custom files you added elsewhere". But as the files are being deleted and I access the site as a non admin user from a browser I don't see the maintenance mode page, but rather an apache file listing page.

This module is an addition to Drupal's Maintenance mode settings page.

I put my site in maintenence mode, offline. Now I cannot get back into the admin screen. I know there is a way for the admin (me) to log back in but I don't know what that is.

I thought I was putting my host site offline so I could work on it without people viewing. But I put my admin offline. I am confused as to why I seem to have two sites, one the host server godaddy and one drupal. Are they not linked together?

why would the admin go offline and not the host site.

We have one of our sites which we would like to repurpose. This is going to involve major edits and a lot of new content. My thought was to put the site into maintenance mode during the change since there really is no current need for users to access the existing content until a new launch is made. In the past, I have only used site maintenance for upgrades where I logged in, put the site in maintenance mode, made the changes, and took it back out of maintenance mode all in one session. The current effort is going to take some days and there is more than one administrator.

Drupal maintenance project is supposed to make multiple site support/monitoring easier. It's goal is to notify administrator about updates needed for specific sites or possibly if cron has failed to run, using e-mail or on-site dashboard.
