I'm wondering if anyone knows an easy way to number the resulting records that are displayed by a view. This seems like a fairly basic thing, but I am having a hard time with this.
I was thinking of using a global variable to store a counter for this, but this doesn't seem very elegant. Plus, I can't actually figure out where I would need put the code to increment my counter. Any ideas?

I enabled the page view counter that puts '# reads' at the bottom of each node. But now I decided I don't want it there. I disabled the counter under admin/ reports/ access log settings, and it is no longer counting each view of the page.

But the '# reads' is still on the bottom of each page with a static number. How do I get rid of it?

I'm new to drupal.

I want to use Rules to automate generation of a set of nodes and do some other tasks.

A have a rule set "Mono" with two arguments: a number (my_number) and a user. Now I want to call this rule set from another rule set "Multi" where I have defined a variable counter (accessible as $counter in php).

What do I have to enter in the Number field under the arguments when defining the action that executes the Mono set when I want to use a variable counter in stead of a fixed value?

can I change View result counter in Views 2 to start counting from the last number in the list ?

normally Field: View result counter in Views 2 start from 1 (or what i set) but how I can change this to start from last number to first ?

This is a friends website and he's been asking me for some time why does the counter show 0 views for every node and doesn't keep track of them? Just for a temporary work around I installed a separate mod to keep track of the visits for now.

HI,

The counter module is not increasing the counter for Anonymous users and other authenticated users, the counter is increased for admin only.

Though I gave skip admin option in the advanced settings it remains the same,

If it is a already solved problem, please do give me the link to it.
