The last few weeks have seen an intense flurry of work on the Panels suite of modules. Today I've rolled releases of the Panels 3.7, CTools 1.7, Panels Everywhere 1.1 and a tiny bugfix release for Tinsel 1.1. This has created a massive chunk of new features that we're hoping will push Panels even more into the mainstream by seriously extending the power available to site builders, particularly in terms of giving site administrators better options for doing their jobs without having to worry about details they've taken care of.

I know there are dependencies between Ctools, Panels and Views but I can't find the bit of documentation that tells me whether Views needs to be in sync with the Ctools and Panels versions. A site I inherited currently has :

Ctools 7.x-1.0-alpha3
Panels 7.x-3.0-alpha3
Views 7.x-3.0-alpha1

I note there is now an alpha4 of Panels, an alpha4 of Ctools, and more versions of Views up to a beta3. What combination should I upgrade to ?

I have tried RTFingM but can't find the relevant bits.

Am I missing something or what? : I'm looking for a way to make panels 3 show content (node) based on the url alias - to match the requested URL with the URL alias of the node.
Can this be done with panels 3 ? (This is D6 with the latest CCK, panels, ctools modules to date).

Having a really annoying issue with views and panels, after a full day of trying and searching I have to ask for help. This may be have been covered but I found this hard to search for :D So I'm using Panels 6.3 and Views 6.2 to override a node called Horses.

Hi! Im using CTools 6.x-1.3 and Panels 6.x-3.3. I refer to the panels-introduction as seen on http://gotdrupal.com/videos/drupal-panels - in this video, at 23:50 min, content is added, which refers "forms". Also referable is the point "widgets". I installed views, cck and panels, but I cant see "forms" or "widgets" - what did I do wrong? Thx, Flashpanhunter

Hello, I recently updated Panels and Views, but had to revert to a prior version of Panels after a WSOD. Now it seems that in the Panels Add Content section that the Nodes row does not show up. I don't know if it is related, but the update.php file came up 404. I did read that newer versions of CCK and CTools only support Panels 3, so maybe that is part of the problem? Can anyone point me to how to fix the WSOD and so I can use the newer version of Panels or should I revert something else as well. Thanks in advance.

I'm a drupal newbie and I have just installed panels, ctools and panels everywhere as part of my drupal 7 system but can't seem to find the panels everywhere option under the 'structure' tab in the administrator menu (panels is located there).

Is this because panels everywhere is not compatible with D7 or am I missing some dependencies or configurations?

From my search of google and the drupal forums all I've been able to find are tutorials about panels everywhere and D6. (e.g. Its located under Site Builder).
