Can somebody tell wich tutorials they went through to learn how to create modules?

I currently have the Pro Drupal Development book, but I want to see if there are some really great tutorials on the internet, for easier reading etc

Anybody got some good links to tutorials to master the basics and to help get a general understading of th most important hooks?

The Scrolling Tutorials module allows a user to convert a flat file (text with or without html) into a video that scrolls through the tutorial text. He can then upload the video to YouTube for exposure to that huge community.

Hi All

Just downloaded Drupal and I am at the exploration, press all the buttons and see what happens stage.

I am at that horrible stage where I don't know how to do anything so everything is complicated and impossible.

Anyway, I learn easiest when shown what to do and video tutorials are great as I can watch them over and over again until it gets through my thick skull.

Any suggestions for video tutorials?

A quick search through google brought up a few sites but how do you know if what you are buying is any good

I decided to try out Drupal, Specifically, Drupal 7.
I installed it, got it up and running and I was wondering, how I can accomplish the following:...

The website is supposed to be a community, a social network, much like facebook\twitter.
First thing is, I need a solution for my video tutorials section.

I'm looking at creating a module for Drupal 7, but haven't been able to find any really good tutorials. My plan is to create a new content type for recipes, and allow it to be displayed properly and search-able (via ingredients, etc.).

Anyone have any suggestions on good Drupal 7 tutorials/how-tos?
Know of any great step-by-step guides? Books (it seems a bit to early for it, but who knows)?

Anything that would help, I'd greatly appreciate. I think a lot of people would want to have a recipe module for version 7 of Drupal.

What is the best way to search for age from user profile?

I have tried to use the "computed field" module to compute the date of birth, but the date (age) does not store in the database, so how can i search for the age??

As you can see, there are no full pages, just - what might be termed as - 'teasers', with the title linking to an external site rather than a story.
