I'm in the final stages of setting up a Drupal site that typically would be used by companies that use engineering software that I sell them. Typical stuff such as what the software does, why it's so good, information on training, information on services, videos showing the software's capabilities, FAQ's, and some combination of blogs and or forums, and so on.
Let's pretend all of the above was good and they bought my software.
Now I need to offer post-sales software support to them. It would tun out to be mostly how to questions that often might include the uploading of a 5-10 MB file as an attachment. From an overall standpoint it would not be a high volume of these support issues. Maybe 3-5 a day on the average.
The engineering software that the end user is working with is rather mature so there would be some but not many of what we would call software bug requests.
I've been doing this kind of support forever so I well understand all the different way of offering support the these kind of users. Phone, email, monthly leasing of software that hosts support portals, getting open source software of this type and and loading it in to my site, and so on.
I would like to do this in a way that I keep my paying users on or in my Drupal created and managed site.
Do I just use a forum or a blog to do this ?
