I would like to password protect certain nodes on a website and would like this to work independent of whether or not someone is a registered user on the site (i.e. I can't protect by role)
Ideally, there would be a password protected view, as an entry page, that makes listed nodes accessible to those who entered the password for the view without the need to re-enter the password for each node they want to access.
The only solutions I can think of that work independent of role assignments are the Protected Node module, which would protect each node and make it necessary to repeatedly enter the password for each protected node that gets accessed. Or I could use traditional .htaccess to protect a folder, but I wouldn't know how to automatically assign a path inside that protected folder to a certain content type whenever it gets created.
I would be glad for any help people can give with this!
