Help needed with an existing network of Drupal 6.12 sites for a small publishing company based in Houston, Texas. Local applicants preferred but not required.
Sites are run on Amazon AWS cloud servers and applicants should have experience and references or examples of work involving that system as well comfort with server-side operations (Linux).
The sites are currently in working order but have a few problems outside the capabilities of the current administrator. Server maintenance and communication has been a problem in the past, and it is essential that the applicant be comfortable and capable working in this environment.
The desired arrangement would be for
1) a few troubleshooting projects paid hourly to attend to current issues (problems with cron jobs, alteration of views, alteration or disconnection of a custom php banner-rotation program) dealt with case by case within a few weeks of agreement;
2) training of current administrator in server-side protocol, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting as well as finer points of views and higher-level site control. Paid hourly, est. 15 hours.
3) monthly retainer of $X in exchange for Y hours of consultation, training, or troubleshooting help at a rate based on response time. (Faster response time = higher hourly rate, low priority/long deadline = lower hourly rate.)
