View showing only historical information even though future information is in database

http://drupal.org

I am using Drupal 6.15; views 6.x-2.8; timeline 6.x-2.1; date 6.x-2.4 et al.

The timeline module allows two dates for a single node, a start date and an end date. I want to show some items where both dates are in the past, but some items will have an end date in the future. I want to show them, but with a line dropping off into the right side of the chart so they appear to 'stop' at the current date (now).

I don't want to 'filter' these entries; I want to keep them in the mix; I just want to stop the view at today's date and prohibit the user from seeing future data. Is that possible???

{
Long version: A timeline showing retail locations and when they opened and closed. some are still open, so I don't want to 'predict' when they will close, rather show a bar extending to the end of the graph and stopping at 'now'. By default the timeline module allows for scrolling to both historical and future date/time entries.
}

TIA! (Thanks In Advance!)
