
It's not surprising that there are quite a few open government related events happening this week with the Gov 2.0 Expo taking place in town, and as usual there are some other interesting technology meetups and discussions on issues like new media and broadband access. Open Government Community Summit: This monthly self-organizing workshop will look at how to build inter-agencies communities of practice within the government, in line with opening up the government and its information sharing.

CopyNight: Carl Malamud of Public Resource has been leading an effort to put the text of laws online, and he'll be at this meetup to talk about how the project is going and other work he's doing to improve access to information.
