The usual way is to buy a certificate for each domain but it got me thinking if the default domain has the certificate, it should still work on all the other domains in the multi-site as well correct ? Since the domains are parked at the default domain they share the same ip address.
https mydefaultdomain < certificate
https otherdomain
Of course it would mean the certificate would be under the default domain but as long as visitors understand the domains are related it shouldn't' matter right ? All they would need to do is accept the certificate in their browser and it should still work.
Has anyone tried that ?
